The Italian luxury fashion market continues to endorse RFID and NFC technology, with Tuscan brand Francesca Castagnacci now embedding NFC tags into all shoes and bags in the Francesca Castagnacci collection.
Fabio Crolli, CEO of Francesca Castagnacci, says that smartphone readable NFC technology is the best solution for individualizing products for both consumers and brands.
“I honestly think that this technology will and should be a standard in the luxury sector very soon,”Crolli says.
Working with Finnish software company Finncode Ltd, the NFC solution offers Francesca Castagnacci’s customers secure product authentication and product registration. Francesca Castagnacci is also able to offer customers a vast gallery of digital content, ranging from product details to brand news.
