Smart fitting rooms are gaining a lot of attention in the retail sector. By placing an RFID reader in the fitting room, the consumer shopping experience can be taken to an entirely new level.
Interactive fitting rooms and magic mirrors were on display by at least three vendors at last month’s NRF Big Show in New York City. Motorola, eBay and Intel had innovative fitting room technologies on display, all driven by RFID technology.
eBay’s Connected Mirror is being piloted by Nordstrom and upscale fashion brand Rebecca Minkoff at stores in New York City and San Francisco.
