We often hear from end users about the need for highly ruggedized RFID readers and transponders for use in overly harsh environments like oil and gas, construction and mining.
In an effort to prove the endurance of its RFID solutions, Holland 1916 RFID had some fun and affixed several tags to a demolition derby car.
Embedded with both UHF and HF transponders from Xerafy, Holland 1916 RFID stainless steel nameplates were welded to the car bumper and at other locations, and sent out into the field to absorb some violent collisions.
Did the tags (and the driver) survive this harsh environment? Watch the video and see for yourself!
